No Happily Ever After All

The weather is shocking here, I mean I didn't expect much after all it is Scotland & June was gorgeous - that is our good weather quota gone, so I decided to play dress up.

I bought this tea dress from Miss Selfridge about a year and a half ago & have only worn it a handful of times. I don't know why really, I think it is because I don't really feel comfortable in it or like the cut of the neck line.

It is a little too baggy for me now but I thought I would wear it for a while just so it didn't feel un-loved...

Yes, I am holding my shoes to my ear pretending it is a phone - weirdo!

I love the back of the dress but wish it was more fitted than this...

Hello calf muscles - I used to, still do at times, loath my legs but they are muscly & there is little to nothing I can do about it, it's a family thing. Silly rugby playing genes! I am the only girl in my family (my dad's side) for seventy years & they don't have very dainty, petie genes. Lucky me!

I love these shoes but they are difficult to walk in espeically after a few cheeky Vodka's. Even if I haven't had a few I am still stoating about like a drunken fool when really I'm not! The left heel is a bit dodgy too, it comes away from under you sometimes but what do I expect from Primark?!

Now that dress up time is over my plans for today include two trashy novels, got to love a chick lit, right?? and the new Elle - I love Lily! x

Bags a good 'in

Continuing with the 'favourites' series that I have been doing recently I thought I would move onto some of my favourite bags.

I love bags. Bags and shoes are just amazing especially if they have something a little bit quirky about them. My bags are either big, over sized numbers or ickle dinky jobs. I don't really have any inbetweeners.

Clutches...

I only really use the beige & purple clutch from Topshop which can be used as a shoulder bag as well and the Primark black bag with the chain which can be a made into a clutch. The other two were bought for special occasions from Wallis & have yet to see another event! My favourites would have to be the Wallis bags just because they are true occasion bags. The black framed bag on the far left is a satin material & the one in the middle is sequins which I got for my school prom. They are just really dinky & special.

A leopard print clutch is on my wish list at the moment. Not sure why, I just really want one!

Day Bags...

Day bags for me are 9 times out of ten big. I love being able to throw all the junk I need in my bag and go. I tend to stick with neutral colours as they go with everything but every now and then I go for something a bit brighter and a bit different.

The two blue bags are Topshop, the grey bag is from Oasis and was a present at Christmas time, the black bag at the back is from Topshop and is leather. The 'Chanel' bag at the front it from Miss Selfridge and has been used so much the strap is close to breaking!

I really want a red or turquoise day bag at the moment. I have been searching for a red bag for ages but haven't found one that I am totally in love with.

Weekend bag...

This is my weekend bag that you will have seen before. It is from Marks and Spencers and was bought by my lovely mother as a moving out present (I think she bought it so that I would return every now and again!) I love it, it is massive inside, a gorgeous colour and always gets loads of compliments.

Some designers bags I am lusting after...

Currently I don't own any designer bags, being a poor student and all :p so I spend my time lusting after these ones.

This Miu Miu bag.

Chloe 'Gemma' bag which Olivia Palermo is often seen with. I love it, so classic & gorgeous plus made by a favourite designer of mine!

Finally, this bag from Luella seen on Rachel Bilson.

What are your favourtie desinger bags & high street bags? x

Five Things I'm Loving Just Now

I decided to make a new monthly thing called 5 Things I'm Loving just now so here is Octobers!! Enjoy :D x

Numbero Uno ....

Rings! I don't know why but I'm loving big rings just now. They add something to an outfit I think. Topshop, Miss Selfridge & Oasis have some really nice ones at the moment!

.... Numbers Two!

Chloe Eau De Parfume! This isn't a new perfume but I really love it, I think it is probebly my all time favourite scent! It is really fresh and girly but it is a little pricey! Oh and I loveeeeee the vintage style bottle .. looks good on your dressing table!

Number Three...

Day dresses! tea dresses have been in fashion for a while now but i think they are so comfy. worn with tights, boots & a leather bomber you get a really nice, finished look. Plus it keeps you dry & warm during the winter! Topshop have some really nice ones as do H&M.

... Number Four

These grey shoe-boots from Topshop. They are really similar to Lily Allen's pink Louboutin but alot cheaper! They would look gorgeous with some black jeans or wear them like Lily with a skirt and some black tights.

Number Five ...

Mac Dollymix blush! I love this, it such a pretty colour. It is a pink with silver flicks in it & it is just gorgeous! It look great with winged liner & pinky lips. It is my new favourite blush. it is so easy to wear and is just stunning! It does look really scary in the pan but applied with a light hand it is really fresh & pretty!
