Welcome back

Long time no post, my apologies not really sure what happened life took over I guess & I had lost the blogging bug I suppose. Do you ever get the feeling that you've lost who you are/were, I felt like that for ages then suddenly I realised I shouldn't be changing who or what I am for someone else especially if it makes me unhappy. Basically, I am in a happy place right now which is never a bad thing!

Celebrity look of the week this week is Olivia Palermo.

I've always been a massive fan of Olivia's style - she is effortlessly chic & has amazing taste, she didn't come off amazingly well in The City but I'd swap being 'popular' for her wardrobe anyday, how shallow.

To me this look is very 70s inspired but with a contemporary twist. I love the fact that wide leg trousers are making a come back - good news for us with the bootays, teamed with some killer wedges or heels it is just a favourite look of mine.

I have also updated my 50 Facts page, I will do it more regularly. Promise!

My week in pictures.

This is a major fail of a post but after Wednesday my week took a very unexpected turn...

Anyway here are three pictures from my week, nothing very interesting but here it is none the less.

Hangover cure ... potato wedges & motzorella. mmmmmm :D

Creepy picture but it was the best I could muster ... pink nails which I nevvver normally wear & no eye liner.

Celebrity look of the week.

Frankie Sandford.

Another red dress for the look of the week but it merely highlights my lusting after a red dress. This is completely different to Carey Mulligans, a little younger maybe but still quite conservative espeically for Frankie who wore a dress that flashed her bum...

I love the colour, the shape, the waist belt that breaks the dress up & gives it some shape and the black wedges. Love!

Goodbye 2010 ... a year in the life!

I saw on Music, Fashion, Clutter a post like this basically Joanne showed pictures from through out the year of her best memories. I thought it was a really good post & decided to do one myself so I hope you enjoy.

January & February... I don't remember much from these months apart from lots of nights out & getting laryngitis's. I do however remember my Glasgow friends meeting my Edinburgh friends which all went well & we had an amazing night, thankfully they got on well otherwise it would have been a nightmare. Complete with long hair!

March & April ... Again I don't remember much, I know we signed our lease for the new flat & celebrated St Paddy's day in style but I think we just became closer friends again enjoying many a night on the razzle dazzle.

May... I got my hair chopped off. Best decision I think I've ever made!

June & July ... Summer of work & play. This picture was at my cousins non-hen weekend before we went to Ayr Races which was an amazing day, had so much fun & actually won some money!

August ... This was when my three flat mates & I moved into our new flat (although the above picture was taken when only three of us had moved in hence three shots. This was our first night out together after summer & was such a good night, one in which it's events shaped the past four months...

September ... Tinie Tempah! It is an awful picture but it was an amazing gig & would recommend anyone to go see him!

October ... The big 2-1!! I had an amazing 21st with my friends & family, we got all dressed up & hit one of Edinburgh's clubs where we drank & danced our socks off. It was an amazing night that I won't forget.

November ... My flat mates & I went to the rugby, I never been to a professional rugby match before & it was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing shame the match wasn't too great... but it was an experience non the less. After this I went on a date with someone I had wanted to for ages so I always associate that with this month too.

December ... Christmas! My flat mate & I put up our first Christmas tree in a home that wasn't our parents, it isn't anything amazing but it is our first Christmas tree & brightens up our little flat.

2010 has been a good year with lots happening & changing. It has been good to me & I hope 2011 is as good or better.

Here's to the freakin' weekend

I wanted to show you a few of the lovely Christmas presents that I got from my parents. I had lusted after this fur stole from Topshop for ages & was so happy to unwrap it on Christmas morning. I love it with my leather jacket.

My mum also picked me this gorgeous clutch. It's really classic & vintage looking & would be gorgeous with a really simple dress on a night out although I need to find somewhere fancy to use it at...

I am a note pad freak, I love them & always have a pretty pad for keeping a journal in & others for lists etc so I looove this pad that she picked which will be my new diary I think. It is so plush looking.

My brother got me Jean Paul Gaultier Classique perfume which is sooo nice & very much needed! I got 'The Steamie' aswell I'm not sure if this is very well known out of Glasgow & Scotland but it is a place set in a Glasgow wash house & then turned into a novel, it is fantastically written.

In other news, I've completed a few more thing in my 100 things. 15 down, 85 to go... wish me luck. You can follow my progress here

This is a new weekly feature here on FTF, Celebrity Look of the Week. I felt like I was just doing the same boring posts over & over so I thought I would inject some celebrity style back onto FTF.

Carey Mulligan

This dress might actually be the most Christmassy dress ... ever. Well maybe not quite but it is still a perfect Christmas party dress. It is very simple and classic which I love. Carey has kept everything else simple however although the shoes go, I'm not 100% sure about them. They seem a little heavy with the dress?!
