Hair raising.

My hair at the moment is in need of a major cut, I look like a burst couch. I toyed with the idea of going back to the Frankie Sandford style but decided my pixie crop so on Tuesday it will be returning. Tuesday can't come quick enough!

I want to try some Ginnifer Goodwin styles - she is a fan of spiking up her short hair which I think looks amazing. x

Five things I've learned in my Twenty years. Part Six.

This is the final installment of Five things I've learned in my 20 years here on FTF, I have a few ideas for my next post like this so keep your eyes pealed for that.

I've enjoyed doing this, recently I've felt a little lost but after reading my previous posts on this I have realised a lot so something positive has been gained from it.

If you missed part one, part two, part three, part four or part five give them a click

26. If you're not happy with something change it!!

If you're not happy with something in your life there is no point sitting around being miserable or complaining about it, go out & change it! You will benefit from not being miserable about it.

27. No matter what people say, follow your own heart/head.

I have made some decisions that I know my friends think are wrong & deep down I know I am only making the decision because of present circumstances - it won't last forever, I will probably get hurt but for now it it what my heart & probably part of my head is telling me to do. I am only 21 after all what's life without a bit of heart break & a few learning curves!

28. Just because things aren't good just now doesn't mean they won't get better.

WHo knows what is around the corner, tomorrow could be the happiest day of your life. When things are really rubbish sometimes I need to remind myself that just because things are bad just now doesn't mean they will always be like this.

29. Change happens.

I've probably mentioned this somewhere in this series before but it is true. Change happens all the time. No one is the same person they were this time last week or yesterday even. Things change all the time. Personally, change is a good thing - I like change but it can be one of the scariest things to happen, it can also be one of the most amazing things to happen. Life changing you could say.

30. Have fun!

Life is too short to be sitting around with a face like thunder. Enjoy everything as it comes & if something is meant for you it won't pass you by. Can't hurry stuff.

I promise some fashion, outfit related posts are coming up now I've got back into the swing of blogging x

Wide leg jeans

I know I posted about Kourtney Kardashian's style a few days ago but I've seen a few pictures of her in wide leg jeans recently & totally love how she styles them. She looks really classic & put together without being drowned in the jeans as she is pretty petite. Another thing to add to my lust list - some wide leg jeans, styled up Kourtney K style.

What's cookin' good lookin'

Number four of my 100 Things was to make a whole meal from scratch which I did this afternoon. I made Hungarian Goulash for my mum, dad & brothers dinner tonight. Everything went smoothly & it has made me realise that I actually miss cooking, I find it very relaxing so it might become a new hobby. Watch this space I guess...

A few wee action shots for you...

The final shot before it goes in the oven for two hours! Hopefully it tastes good!

I've also started number 11 of 100 Things which is read Pride & Prejudice, I'm about 8 chapters in & actually really enjoying it. Mr Darcy is a dream boat! ha

Anyways, I have to send my camera away this week to get a crack fixed so there probably won't be many picture posts for a while unless I can steal my brothers camera until I get mine back, fingers crossed. I want to get back into doing outfit posts & stuff cause I enjoyed doing them.

Off to read P&P in the sunshine seen as I am at my parents lovely house so might as well make use of the garden, would be rude not too! x

Make mine a maxi

I've always been a big fan of Olivia Palermo's style, she cannot be faulted, I am particularly mloving her take on maxi skirts. Especially the two pictured. She makes everything look so effortless & chic plus she is never 'tarty'!! x

Five Things I've Learnt in my Twenty Years. Part Five.

Last summer I started doing a Things I've learnt in my Twenty Years post but after four episodes I stopped for some reason. I decided that I want to finish the final two episodes of the series. Even though I'm coming up for my 22nd Birthday in October, guess it just means a years more to tell, maybe?!

Part one, Part two, Part three and Part four can be found with a click :)

21. Boy's don't make everything better.

Having a boy in your life won't instantly make it amazing. Basically they aren't the bee all and end all! Good friends & fun times are just as good as a boy! It will happen when it happens.

22. Make the effort.

Putting your full effort into something will be worth it in the end, even if it seems a hassle & struggle at the time the positive outcome will be more than worth it in the end.

23. Don't cry on your own.

If you're upset don't sit & cry on your own (I am the sort of person that likes to be by themselves sometimes, I've cried by myself more times than I can count!) The people you love & care about will be there for you, they will want to talk or simply console you. Talking about it or simply not being on your own with your tears will make you feel better!

24. Give People the time of day.

Just because you aren't sure about a person or don't like what you've seen so far doesn't mean you can't be friends. One of my close friends now, I detested when they started working in my work now three years on we are still good friends!

25. Don't be too shy or scared to do something you want to do.

I've missed out on so many chances because I'm scared of what others will think or that I won't fit in. Recently I built up the confidence to join the gym and actually go, often. It has done wonders for my self image & confidence and I actually feel happy and confident in myself which is a first. If you want to do something go for it!!

Shoes & Rings Make me happy.

In a state of sheer boredum the other day one of my flatmates & I decided to go for a stroll and ended up buying stuff, always a bad idea. However, I did get these amazing wedges which I am totally in love with.

They are in my favourite colour, when I saw them I had to get them. They were only £30 which I think is pretty reasonable for a pair of wedges. Can't wait to wear them!

I also bought these two rings; the one on the left is from H&M, it is a massive orange stone - it literally is huge. It was only £3.99 so pretty much a steal. The ring on the right is from Topshop and was £14, I think then I got student discount so think it was about £11 or £12, a little more than what I would normally spend on a ring that will eventually turn my finger green but I had wanted a double fingered ring for ages & really like this one so I thought what the hell!

The Ultimate Playlist.

As part of my 100 Things challenge I decided I wanted to make the ultimate music playlist & tonight I did!!

It is basically just my favourite songs, songs that have memories, songs that evoke a certain emotion & I think I am really going to enjoy listening to it.

Out of the 1646 songs in my iTunes I chose 173 songs. I am really looking forward to completing some of the things I've set for myself & seen as summer holiday have arrived I might as well see how many I can complete. Ultimate playlist Done!

Also, I randomly came across the the Just an Ordinary Girl & love it! She is gorgeous & has lovely photographs. Her rooms gorgeous too! x

She always looks polished and fashionable. Here are a few of my favourite Kourtney outfits.

As part of my 100 Things Challenge I decided to write more letters, in order t
o do so I decided I needed some pretty stationary. A trip to a gorgeous stationary shop in Edinburgh & £10 later ...

I got this..

It comes with four different designs on the cars & gorgeous lilac envelopes that are really plush, it would be exciting to get one in the post!! I've already written two letters & plan on writing a few more this coming week.

Totally love this leopard print belt too & this off the shoulder tee ... perfect for the gorgeous weather we've been getting recently!!

How amazing does Kim Kardashian look on the cover of Cosmopolitan!! Hello body envy, this really inspired me to get my bum to the gym if I could look like that then I'll go everyday ha x
