Whats new pussycat wow wow wow....

This is just a post about whats been going on lately :)

Still at college, I have about three weeks left but have a pile of work up to my ears to be getting on with! But I passed my exam as I said in my previous post, got a B, second highest grade in the year & highest in my class :D Geek features = Emma!

So all I need to do now is pass my three classes and I will have met my conditional for uni :D

Today, actually this weekend I'm off work so I'm tidying my room and getting some college work done, enjoying the sunshine and possibly going out tonight but we will see.

I haven't bought anything clothes or make up related in a week apart from two Barry M Nail paints - in grey adn turquoise. I love the grey (not tried the turquoise!).

Please excuse my stubby, red looking hands & the bad lighting!

As I mentioned the spending diet is going well but I am going to have to break it a little as I need black shoes and a few summery bits! Tbh I think I deserve them for doing well in my exam (any excuse!)

Anyways on to some sad news, this morning there was a little accident in my room ....

sadly not everything came out ok! There was a major injury on my Me Me Me Shimmy Shimmer :'(

So sad .... only joking!

It was totally my fault - my bull in a china shop way of movement.The shimmy shimmer went flying as did the MAC blush palette but there was only one minor injury there :D.

I'm putting some stuff up on ebay soon. Once it is set up I will post a link.

Love Love LV Today ...

The titles only that because the advert came on while I was writing this so I'm not copying - Liverpool Victoria advert song!

Anyways, this is just a random post because I've not done anything exciting or really that interesting for a while so I thought I would post about things I am really into at the moment.

1. Jeans, t shirt & cardi

I have actually been wearing this a lot recently - probably something to do with my massive collection of cardigans & t shirts and the fact that I have been really lazy.

Its really comfy and cute plus doesn't take much effort!

A favourite look of Rachel Bilson (Pictured), Lauren Conrad and me :D Although most pictures Rachel and Lauren don't have a cardigan on - probably something to do with the LA weather being better than the Glasgow weather!

2. Bright Nails

Bright corals, pinks, red - they look pretty and summery. I'm actually thinking about getting Barry M turquoise and maybe some others. Dark nails are not happening just now. Brights FTW!

3. Audrina's summer dresses

Audrina doesn't normally go for pretty, girly clothes but I love her summer dresses!

They are really simple and pretty plus her silver pumps are cute. These are perfect for hot LA weather but to wear them in Glasgow I think a cardigan and some leggings may be required unless there is a freak heat wave (fingers crossed!)

4. Marmaduke Duke Rubber lover

Tune!

I love this song - its so catchy and up beat. If you haven't heard it go and listen - pure awesome!

5. Earrings

I used to have a thing for wearing earrings but I kind of forgot about them until recently. While tidying my room I discovered a large stash of earrings that I had totally forgotten about! I'm getting back into them again and thinking about getting my ears pierced a second time (again - closed up the last time :( ! ) and maybe getting the top of my ear pierced :D

6. Effy from Skins Make up

Her glittery eye shadow, teal liner, black smokey eye - I really love her make up! I never watched the programme but am considering it now just for make up inspiration LOL.

Outfit 7

This picture is about two weeks old maybe, it was on my camera but I forgot about it!

I have on my Topshop rose print tulip skirt with black tights, a Topshop black vest top, My mango blazer - which I changed for a cardigan, after realising it made my look a wide as the Clyde with the skirt - and a H&M skinny patent belt.

The cardigan I put on was a long line black number from, you'll never guess wear .....

I also saw this picture in Glamour and really loved the outfit.

It is just black trousers, a white best, a grey cardigan and black knitted waistcoat - it was meant to show layering! To be honest I think it does and it looked really smart - I would wear it!! x

Gemma Arterton

While reading the paper today I came across an article (if you can call it that?!) about Gemma Arterton saying that she had put on weight since being a Bond girl.

Personally, i think she looks amazing! She isn't fat or overweight, she has curves and seems to be very happy and comfortable with her body & who she is.

I don't understand why people are criticising her for not being a beanpole! She is happy and healthy and that is all that really matters - everyone is different.

This is just a random post because I got annoyed! (LOL) One thing I will say is the bikini isn't the most flattering. x

Green with Envy

Yesterday, the 17th of May, Rachel Weisz was pictured in two green dresses.

Now I'm not a massive fan of green, although according to the mother "You really suit it!", but I never seem to wear it or buy anything in green. Anyways, Rachel wore a emerald green floor length dress to a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and a paler green shift dress at a photo call during the day.

This is my favourite of the two. Simply because I love everything about it; the colour, the shape, the slit! It is very elegant and lady like but still quite sexy.

The colour is so beautiful. I love the richness and the contrast between her hair & skin with the dress. This dress had made me want a big cocktail ring in the colour.....

This dress I love for the classic cut and simplicity. Shift dress are so feminine and chic, in my opinion Rachel pull it off perfectly.

One thing I don't like is the colour! It is sort of a sicky green which puts me off it but it is still a beautifully classic dress.

Writing this had made me want to watch The Mummy! x

Bilson Bag Envy Take 3 & 4

Rachel Bilson really likes her designer handbags!!

This bag is by Zac Posen and is an Aurora bag. It came out with the Fall 2006 collection - old collection but a gorgeous bag!

I love the purple-ness and the gold detailing especially the chain.

I don't think this is available anymore but it is still gorgeous :).

This bag, I'm not sure which designer or what collection (tbh I can't be bothered searching to find

out - sorry!) but I just love the box shape of it and the chain strap. Also, her outfit really simple but simple is good in my books :D

Slacks in the City

I apologise for the post name - it was the most 'creative' thing I could come up with. My deepest apologies!!

Olivia Palmero has amazing clothes - I have posted before about this but I saw this picture of her out in New York recently and had to post about her trousers.

She has own some drain pipe black trousers which skim her ankles. They are really smart and functional but still fashionable!

Olivia has them on with a blazer, obviously we all saw that one coming, a blouse and I think she has a waistcoat on as well. Some YSL tribute shoes and some accessories.

The trousers are very Audrey Hepburn, in my opinion, which is never a bad thing!

I think they are really versatile and easy to wear. Plus, they are a change from jeans! x

Cannes

The Cannes Film festival is all about glamour!!

The papers have been saying that today's 'stars' don't have as much sophistication and class as stars from the 40s and 50s and I will agree some don't but when I saw this picture of Elizabeth Banks and Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya Rai is the L'oreal brand ambassador and Elizabeth Banks is the new world spokesperson for L'oreal.

Ok, so they aren't technically stars but the wore amazing dresses and looked very elegant and chic which is what its all about really!

I'm just going to talk about Elizabeth Banks' dress because its my favourite out of the two!

I love everything about this dress but I will start with the colour....

a hot pink-red that really works with her skin tone. The one shoulder is really on trend and make it a little edgier than a strapless gown. The knot on the side with the overflow of fabric is beautiful and is really what makes the dress something special, in my opinion.

Elizabeth kept her hair and make up really simple, going for an old school Hollywood feel and accessorised with a very simple diamond bracelet.

Anyone else seen any other nice dresses at Cannes?

Emma Rigby Dress Envy

In the papers today there were pictures from the soap awards, the dresses were super bright and some were really nice. One I liked in particular was Emma Rigby, Hannah from Hollyoaks. Sometimes her style is a tad 'wag-ish' but whatever! Her dress is so vibrant and pretty plus I love her back accessorises.

After a little google I came across pictures of some other outfits she has worn in the past ...

This dress is loveee - I actually like it more than the one above. Its really feminine and classic but the bright pink gives it a modern edge.

This outfit, below, I really love (notice how I 'love' everything!) anyways, its really young after all she is only 19, its pretty simple as well but I like simple.

This wasn't a very good post - sorry - I'm not really feeling inspired at the moment, think I may be stressing about my exam on Wednesday. Hopefully after that I will be back on track :)

• MAC foundation is toooooo heavy for my face - tinted moisturiser is needed asap

Bilson Bag Envy Take 2

I have posted before about Rachel Bilson's red bag - something which I am still on the hunt for - and now I am lusting after this bag ....

It is described on a website as "over sized Tod’s Softy Messenger bag in teal python"

I'm not 100% sure what sure what it is I like about it, I think it is the shape and size - I'm a sucker for a big one (lol ignore that innuendo!) The bag is really bright and summery and would fit all the junk I feel I have to carry around with me (Wonder why I have back problems?!)

I would probably steal most of her blazers as well as her bags :) x

Wardrobe Envy

I have posted loads of times before about Lily Allen's clothes and today is going to be another one!

At first I thought, at first, that Lily had a play suit on but after seeing another picture it is actually a long wrap dress. I love it - it is really simple and ladylike. I love the Chanel necklace as well.

OMG MAJORRRRR wardrobe envy for this one! It is so nice! I love her LBD, green jacket, blue Chanel bag ugh I just love it! Its really simple again but the jacket and bag make it more of a statement.
