RED JEANS

... I'm not one for bright coloured clothing, I stick to black mostly - I wont' lie about that - recently however I have been incorporating brighter pieces into my collection.

One way of doing so has been through interesting shades of trouser. I have shown you my ever so loved camel skinny jeans which aren't particularly bright but are different and definitely a favourite piece. Due to my ever growing love for the camel jeans I saw the deep red pair online and decided to snap them up. However when they arrived and I excitedly unwrapped them I noticed they were in fact the cropped version.

I was a little disappointed at first as I was expecting full length red jeans but I actually really love them. They are a little bit different and after looking at some blogs I have been inspired by the way others have worn cropped jeans. To date, I have only worn them with a simple off the shoulder top, some nude ballet flats and a black bag but I have some other plans for them. One thing I found about these jeans is the material is a little less heavy than the camel jean, I found it to be a little cheaper but it could just be they are more of a summer trouser?

My wardrobe is looking very bright with my red jeans, my orange trousers - who knows what other colourful pieces will be added in the near future.

I am moving flat on Monday, cannot believe the 1st of August is upon us. I have been waiting since April for moving day. There are a few ideas for my room which I will share if I like the outcome. Interior design has really started to interest me, does anyone know any good interior blogs? I would love to peruse some.

Agent Lavender

Creamy, nude nail varnish seem to be a new love of mine at the moment. I, like so many others I'm sure, have too many nail varnishes. I store them in a gorgeous Zebra print box that perfume came in. The nail polish in question is Chinza Glaze Agent Lavender, not technically a nude but it is a pastel shade. It is a really pretty lilac that is really summery and easy to wear. I am now on the hunt for a white nail polish with no shimmer, I'm thinking Models Own. Any recommendations are very welcome!

Hope you all had a good weekend x

Musing of a crazy girl

Very random post today, nothing fashiony as everything is packed up for the big move a week tomorrow (!) We got the flat in April & thought it would be forever for the 1st of August to come but it is nearly here - so exciting. My new room is so much bigger than my room in my current flat & had a walk in wardrobe and a massive dark wood three door wardrobe so I will have all my clothes nicely stored which I am so excited to organise. Sad but true.

Just some random pictures, nothing too special. Basically, I am loving Rimmel's Nude Delight lipstick so much so I bought one for my mama for part of her birthday along with a ring & some Clinque goodies. A little cheeky sweet I bought, remember Wham bar - amazing! I really need to get back in to healthy eating and the gym but I've hurt my back again so need to wait a little till it's better. I am planning on taking up pilates at the gym as I hear that helps back pain. Hopefully it will mean my slipped disk doesn't play up too much. Finally my lovely new academic diary, it is pretty bright & girly but it's cute.

It's a ring thing

Rings are one of my favourite accessorises. I love them. In particular, I love this big black ring from Topshop. I'm sure I've posted about it before but it is one of those pieces that just keep coming back in to my line of love. I'm not sure if there will be too many outfit style posts coming up for the next week as everything is packed for my big move a week on Monday so I have limited clothing for the week. Sigh.

Red passion

Thought I would show my new hair colour, it is a little more red in real life but I couldn't get it to translate well photographically.I used the colour xxl dye in 43 red passion. It is exactly the colour I have been searching for. I wish I could get it to photograph closer to life, I'll have a mess around with my camera settings. Excuse the wonky eyes, not really sure what is going on there really...

Link me to blogs you like or your own blog, I love finding new blogs for inspiration. x

No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser

I bought this just over a week ago and I was requested by the lovely Eliza to review it so that is what I am doing.  It is safe to say this is what I have been searching for all my life! I have seen a dramatic improvement in my skin. I kept a sort of diary of the week so I could keep track of my thoughts on the product.

Day One
I was impressed with the product, my skin felt exfoliated and clean. My skin felt much cleaner than with my old cleanser, toner, facial wash routine.

Day Two
My skin felt really clean and moisturised.

Day Three
This was the first day I used the product day and night. My make up applied really nicely after I washed my face with this. My skin appears to be clearer, is very soft and feels 'healthy'.

Day Four/Day Five
Used morning & night. My skin is a lot clearer - there is still a few spots but in general it looks clearer. It is very soft. Really enjoying using the product & am definitely seeing the benefits.

Day Six
This was the first day I didn't enjoy using the cleanser as much but it was after work & I was very tired. My skin is still clear with a few blemishes but it has 100% helped my blackheads.

Day Seven
My skin is still very clean feelings. The muslin cloth is pretty worn now and needs to be replaced. I bought 50 muslin squares from Mothercare for £7.99, they are just little muslin squares but do the job perfectly. A new muslin cloth is always the best cleanse.

Noticed tonight when applying my night cream my skin, especially on my cheeks is a lot clearer. My blemishes are fading (finally), the only product that has changed had been my cleanser so I am putting it down to the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser.

Overall
I would definitely recommend this product. I actually like taking my make up off, it is one step & simple. £9 isn't too expensive for the product when you think of buying a cleanser, toner & facial wash - that would probably me more expensive.

Hope you are all well. x

About girls like you

This is pretty much the same sort of thing I've worn with these trousers before except it features an H&M cardigan with lots of gold bead detail across the shoulders and back. I love this cardigan and don't wear it enough. I also wore MAC Costa Chic lipstick today but it hasn't translated very well into picture but then again I do live in a basement flat with very little natural light. Two weeks today I will be in my lovely new flat... very excited!

I am feeling pretty good about life, had a wee rough patch last week but I am feeling brighter this week. Some people just don't realise that they've hurt you beyond repair & they have moved on! x

Loving the leopard print

Leopard print is such a beautiful print. Without a doubt it is up there in my tops prints.

Subtle incorporation of leopard print is good. Pat Butcher, over the top leopard print is not so good. I felt a little bit blah in this outfit, compromising of an off white tee from H&M, navy trousers from Zara &  tan belt that has seen better days from H&M also. While walking through my mum & dad's house I spotted these beauts out of the corner of my eye. They belong to my lovely mother, who very kindly let me borrow them them for the day. They are from Next, pretty sure they were reasonably priced & are very much loved.

I am still in search of some leopard print ballet flats as well as some leopard print heels but I have yet to find my love.

Friday was a pretty blah day, people - well a person - making things difficult for me & generally upsetting me. Knocking me back from the progress I've made. Just need to stay strong & not let myself be defeated! Pep-talk for myself over... x

Making a statement

Bit of a different post today but I was thinking about it this morning... earrings, particularly big statement earrings, with short hair. As I am sure you have noticed I have a pixie crop as my do of choice. I love it, best decision I've ever made but I always feel a little self conscious and awkward when I wear large earrings.

I'm not a stud earrings sort of gal - never have been but I do enjoy a statement earring. It is a good opportunity to show of some beautiful earrings, maybe I just need to pull myself together & get on with it...

What do you all think about short hair & a some statement earrings? x

Looks just like jam

This necklace is actually a present I got for my lovely mum for Mothers Day from Topshop but she let me borrow it the other day. It has a massive red stone on it that in my opinion resembles jam although you would have to see it in person to really see what I mean. It is on a very long gold chain, comes to just underneath my belly button. I just love it. It is a little bit different & definitely adds interest to an outfit.

In other news, I got the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser which I have been wanting to try for ages so hopefully this will brighten up my skin a touch as it hasn't been looking too great as of late.

check out the orb in this photo ... Ghost & a half!

Hot Chilli

17 Lasting Fix lipstick in Hot Chilli is love.

The orange-redness, the finish, its staying power is just lovely. It could get my award for favourite bright which seems silly considering the MAC lipsticks I've invested in over the years. I wore it out a couple of weeks ago actually it might have been last week on a night out with a black off the shoulder top & camel jeans which can be seen here.

My camera has finally (!) been fixed & I am going to collect it sometime this week so the picture will be better quality. Feel like ages since I had it, suppose it has been since April!

What are your favourite bright lipstick?

Tremble for yourself my man.

First of let me apologies for my face in the first two pictures & in the last two. I have no idea what was going on. Least you can all have a good laugh at me! Anyways I absolutely love these trousers. They were in the Zara sale for twenty squid reduced from £30. Bargain (well not really...)

They are so incredibly comfortable. It is like wearing your jammie bottoms. I love them. Kept everything else pretty simple & black seen as the trousers are very vibrant. The belt is a new love also, as I have been searching for a studded belt for a while. I think it makes the trousers a little less pretty and a little more edgy. I went to a few vintage shops in Glasgow with my mum today, saw some amazing clothes sadly I am skint so couldn't buy anything. I have a mental list of what I want come pay day.

Being out and about in the West end has made me get really excited as I know when I finish uni I really want to come back here/there & get a nice flat in the West End... *goes off into a major day dream*

Blazer is H&M, Body is New Look, Belt &Trousers are Zara sale & the Bag was a gift. x

This door is always open.

I love these trousers. I love them so much I feel I want to go and buy another pair in the same colour.
I have my eye on a red pair & a cobalt pair but they are difficult to get hold of.

Didn't do too much, just went for lunch with the mum & dad. My dad isn't very well just now so was nice to spend sometime with them both. Lunch was amazing. Chicken & bacon club - amazing! Don't think I'll need carbs a year although I am craving toast ... with butter ... and jam.

This top I bought earlier in the week & I totally love the colour. The cut is pretty nice to, might have to make a trip back to H&M to get it in the other colours that they have.

Top & Blazer are H&M . Jeans are New Look . Bag is Tesco . Sandals are Primark specials

I didn't wear any jewerelly or accesorizes today which is a bit weird but I only brought a neck lace with from Edinburgh. A single necklace. Silly me.

Leopard print dreams

Am I wrong for loving this River Island skirt?! I love leopard print & can see this with a black body, some simple nude or black heels and a really simple black clutch. I haven't seen it in the shop but from the website it looks to be pretty good quality.

True that Zooey, true that!! To be honest, I'm very comfortable being by myself just now. I'm great company (haha).

Go check out Eliza's blog, she has some amazing clothes, because of her blog was the main reason I ended up on the River Island site. x

Run, whirlwind run Further and further away

I finally have a camera again, still (!) not my camera, it still hasn't been fixed - they've only had it since April, maybe someday soon I'll have my lovely Canon back but until then my very kind brother has allowed me to have a loan of his!

Last Friday I Tweeted about going round a few charity shops, my favourite purchase was this clock. It is pretty pink and I'm not really a 'pink person' but for £3 I couldn't say no. I love it! I can't wait to move into my new flat (three weeks!!) & make my new room all pretty with my new clock.

Now on to a little bit of shopping I did on Monday. One of the flat mates & I were bored so decided to go for a wander round the shops. Safe to say I went a little crazy & now have about £40 to last me until pay day - comeeee on pay dayy!

To be completely honest, I do need new tops, a lot of mine are done and needing to be replaced. At the start of last week I bought two basic black tops from Zara. One long sleeved & off the shoulder which can be seen in this post & a marl tshirt. On to the clothes...

My faourties are without a doubt the studded belt & the orange palazzos. I love them! Both sale items - win! Although the Zara sale isn't that amazing, it's normally reduced by a few pounds plus the staff in the Princes Street store are rude as fook. I mean seriously rude! If I had stronger will power, I wouldn't go back but the clothes are just too pretty...

I will hold on

Nothing fashion related today, just a couple of products I'm loving.

First up is Barbara Daly, which is avalaible at Tesco eye liner pen. As you know I am a massive eye liner pen. Normally sticking to MAC fluid line or Rimmel liquid liner but my mama bought me this as a present & I love it. It is so easy to apply , goes on a dream & lasts all day. I think, not 100% sure as it was a gift, it is £5 which is a pretty good price for a decent eye liner!

The second product is Barry M Nail paint in Berry. This is such a pretty pastel lilac that is perfect for summer. I had a black nail varnish on one day & spotted this peaking over at me from the other side of the room so decided to wear it. It, again, isn't too expensive & has really good staying power.

Not too much has been happening really. Going back to Glasgow tomorrow night, my dad had a bad fall so I want to see him. He is okay, very bruised & cut especially on his head but he is doing fine. Hopefully I will get my brothers camera back so I can show you my new clock (Yes, I am still excited about this!). I move in to my new flat in 27 days!! Seriously cannot wait to get out of this joint but not long too go. Can't wait to style up my new room - exciting! x

Russian Rambles.

Do you ever sometimes think 'Oh I wish I had done that instead', I have always been interested in history (I get it from my dad) I thought of studying it at uni but chose something more 'practical', I guess you could say but every time I read a history book or watch something on the TV relating to history it makes me want to learn more & takes my whole attention. Maybe it's fate I didn't study it because that way it can be a hobby or interest for me. I don't know.

I have a massive list of places I want to visit. It includes the usual places; Paris, Rome... but I really want to go to Moscow. I have this over powering interest in Russia & Moscow in particular. The architecture is meant to be amazing. I want to go so badly I feel like nipping out my flat along the road to Waterstones to get a travel book on it!

Today is my second day off so I went for a wander in to a few charity shops, picked up three books & a really cute clock which I will picture when I get my brother camera next week! It is the cutest clock I've ever seen. One month today I move into my new flat - thank the lord! Can't wait to get my room all sorted.

A couple of Miss Selfridge picks. I really want some espadrilles, these one have a kind of lace, crochet effect on them which makes them quite feminine & pretty which I like plus they would go with pretty much anything. At £14 you can't really go wrong! I also really love this playsuit with some black heels, bare legs. Perfect for a night on the town this summer. Could led to some 'episodes' going to the loo after a few cheeky cocktails though...
